Jody Martin, a Taupo-based ceramicist, has been working with clay for many years. Starting with hand-built pieces, she now focuses on refining her throwing skills on a Bernard Leach kick-wheel. Inspired by the aesthetics of Japanese and Korean ceramics, her work is refined, understated, and full of character. Each piece bears her distinctive touch, from subtle irregularities of form to uniquely crafted, handmade glazes.
