Jody Martin | Bonsai Planter | Tongariro Desert

Jody Martin has been working with clay and ceramics for many years initially with hand-building but in recent years she has focussed on her throwing skills using her Bernard Leach kick-wheel. Her current work is influenced by the aesthetics of Japanese and Korean ceramics – refined but full of character.

A bonsai planter featuring a unique glaze inspired by the soft, muted hues of the Tongariro Desert in the Central Plateau.
