Jody Martin | Vase | Tongariro Desert | Medium

Jody Martin has been working with clay and ceramics for many years initially with handbuilding but in recent years she has focussed on her throwing skills using her Bernard Leach kick-wheel. Her current work is influenced by the aesthetics of Japanese and Korean ceramics – refined but full of character.

This vase features a unique glaze inspired by the soft, muted hues of the Tongariro Desert in the Central Plateau.
